How to Measure for Clothing and Collars
Body Length:
A. Measure length of pet's back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Also if dog has a stout build, a deep chest, or is overweight, we recommend going up a minimum of one size for proper fit.
B. For shorter style garments, measure the length of the pet's back from base of neck to base of tail.
Neck:
A. Measure the circumference of pet's neck. Allow some leeway for a comfortable fit.
For collar widths; 1/2"-5/8" widths are best for puppies and small dogs.
5/8"-3/4" widths are best for small to medium dogs.
1" + widths are best for large dogs.
Chest:
A. Measure girth around the broadest part of the chest, which is typically right behind the front legs.
